Steven Colbert must publish the book!

Two thousand two hundred and ninety one! This is the number of visits that my blog registered in the last 24 hours. I happened to have my smartphone handy when Steven Colbert showed his fictitious children book "I'm a pole (and so can you)" during his must-see interview with Maurice Sendak. At that moment, I searched to see if that book really existed, but obviously it didn't. Then, I  had the idea of publishing the previous post just to see how many people would do the same that I did after watching the show. I guess a lot of people did follow my silly idea, didn't they? Now, we all should ask Steven Colbert to go ahead and publish the damn book!
At least 2,291 are waiting for it.

By the way, if you want to see the interview again here are the links:

I'm a pole (and so can you). Steven Colbert.

This book does not exist. This is just an experiment to see how many people end up here looking for it!

New series: Singular words

I have always been interested in words. Words are part of everybody's character and define how you are seen in different situations when you use them according to your persona at the moment. Yes, all of us have different personas in different scenarios such as the workplace, the bar, the school, etc.
In any case, the word that I have selected to start this series is: horologe.

Horologe, according to the Webster's dictionary, is a timekeeping device. What made me admire this word is that finally I found an explanation for the origin of the Spanish word "reloj" (watch). Both come from the greek horologion, in which we can easily see hour/hora too.

Not bad for a lousy blogger!

I just realized that the blog surppased 1,000 visits! Obviously, this is nothing if we compare it to one of my favorite blogs, the one of my friend Clarissa, which had a record of 5,330 visits in a single day, but it is more than I thought I could have at this point!
Congratulations to me!
